Many of our sites are available for tent camping all around the resort. Some are located in the upper section of the resort and others are located in the lower section near the pond.

The 400 State Trail runs through the heart of the Driftless Area and offers miles of crushed limestone path for biking, hiking, and even horseback riding. Trailheads and amenities are just a short drive from Chapparal.

Sauk County Historical Society

The Van Orden Mansion has served as the home of the Sauk County Historical Museum since 1939. Summer exhbits are free to enjoy. Open May - October, Wednesday - Saturday, noon to 4 pm.
